Section 01
Scope and accountability
This policy explains how Pizzaville Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Pizzaville mobile app. It supplements Pizzaville's general privacy policy. Independently owned Pizzaville stores are separate legal entities and may be responsible for information they receive to fulfil your order.
Section 02
Information we collect
- Account and contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, authentication credentials, saved delivery addresses, and communication preferences.
- Order and loyalty information, including your selected store, cart contents, customizations, order history, delivery or pickup details, tips, transaction totals, saved profiles, favourites, and Pizzaville Passport activity.
- Approximate or precise location when you grant permission and use nearby-store, delivery-address, or map features. You may instead search for or enter a location manually.
- Payment method type, payment status, transaction references, and masked saved-card details. Pizzaville does not collect or store your credit or debit card number in the app. You enter card details directly on the payment provider's hosted payment page, and the payment provider processes them.
- Device and technical information, including platform and operating-system type, app version, IP address, a per-install device identifier, push token, language, diagnostic logs, crash data, performance data, and app interactions.
- Messages, feedback, order notes, and information you provide to customer support.
Section 03
How we use information
- Create accounts, authenticate sessions, and maintain profiles.
- Route, process, fulfil, support, and record pickup and delivery orders.
- Find stores, validate delivery areas, geocode addresses, and display maps.
- Operate Passport, favourites, order history, saved profiles, gift cards, and offers.
- Send order updates and promotional messages where you have consented.
- Process payments, refunds, fraud checks, and transaction reconciliation.
- Measure app use, diagnose crashes, monitor performance, secure the app, prevent misuse, and improve services.
- Respond to requests and meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Section 04
Permissions and consent
Location and notification permissions are controlled in your device settings. Disabling a permission stops future use of that permission but does not delete information already collected. Essential order or account messages may still be sent through available contact channels.
Section 05
When we share information
Pizzaville does not sell or rent personal information. We share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Ordering platforms and participating Pizzaville stores for accounts, ordering, fulfilment, saved profiles, and order history.
- Mobile-platform and notification providers for push registration and delivery.
- Analytics providers for product and commerce analytics, and diagnostic providers for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
- Payment processors, related financial institutions, and fraud-prevention providers for hosted payment processing.
- Mapping, geocoding, hosting, security, communications, and customer-support providers when the relevant service is used.
- Authorities, courts, professional advisers, or a corporate successor where permitted or required by law.
Section 06
Processing outside Canada
Some service providers may process or store information outside Ontario or Canada, including in the United States. Information in another jurisdiction may be accessible under that jurisdiction's laws. Pizzaville uses contractual and other safeguards appropriate to the service.
Section 07
Storage and retention
The app stores session credentials securely on supported devices and may store checkout preferences, guest contact details, recent order information, delivery location, menu data, and notification registration locally. Pizzaville retains information only as long as reasonably necessary for orders, accounts, support, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, and legal obligations. Deleting the app does not delete your account.
Pizzaville uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted network communications, access controls, and secure credential storage. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Section 09
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. Account deletion is available from the Account screen or through the account deletion page. Pizzaville may verify your identity and retain records where permitted or required by law. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the message link and disable push notifications in the app or device settings.
The app is not directed to children under 13. Pizzaville does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
Section 11
Changes and contact
Pizzaville may update this policy as the app, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date and communicate material changes where required.
